PENGARUH PENERAPAN METODE STORY TELLING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENYIMAK DRAMA ANAK DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of the application of story telling methods on the ability of students in listening to the drama of third grade children of Primary School Pontianak City 12. The research method used is experimental method, while the research form used is one group pre-test and post-test. In this research, the sample is the students of class IIIB as many as 24 students. Data collection techniques used in this study are the technique of direct observation and measurement techniques. Based on data analysis result from mean value of pre-test result 64,931 and average post-test 71,875. Result of t test obtained ttable at significant level α = 5% is 2,069. Because t count (12.011)> t table (2.069) then hypothesis testing of post-test data received. From the calculation of effect size (ES), obtained by 0.865 which means the application of story telling method gives influence to the students' ability in listening to the drama of the third graders of Elementary School Pontianak City 12
