PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA SMP
Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan LKS terstruktur terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dan bentuk penelitiannya quasi-experimental dengan rancangan NonEquivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah 31 orang siswa kelas VIII G SMP Negeri 16 Pontianak sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 32 orang siswa kelas VIII H sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perubahan yang positif dari hasil pretest ke posttest. Berdasarkan uji tanda didapat nilai chi kuadrat sebesar 24,04 yang menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan LKS terstruktur terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa, dengan effect size kategori tinggi. Motivasi belajar siswa di kelas dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD tergolong “Sangat Tinggi”.

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of the cooperative learning using STAD model assisted by structured student’s worksheet on problem-solving ability and students' learning motivation. The method was experiment and the form of research was quasi-experimental with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample were 31 persons of the VIII G students as the experimental class and 32 persons of the VIII H class as the control class. The results showed a positive change from pretest to posttest result. Based on the sign test, the result of chi square was 24,04 which indicates that there was a positive effect and significantly impact of cooperative learning using STAD model assisted the structured worksheet on students' problem-solving ability, with the effect size was classified as a “high” category. The students' motivation in experimental class was classified as "Very High".
