Abstract

This research is motivated by students' difficulties to pour their thoughts, ideas, and creativity into old poetry poems. The problem in this research is how the application of card game media in writing pantun learning, how the process of writing pantun writing implementation, how the evaluation see the results of student learning in writing pantun on the students of SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. The purpose of this study is to test the application of card game media in writing pantun learning, reviewing the process of writing pantun writing, reviewing the evaluation to see student learning outcomes in writing pantun on students of SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. This study was conducted in class VII A with the number of students 35 academic year 2016 / 2017. Type of research used is classroom action research (PTK) which has been done in two cycles. The method used qualitative descriptive method. Data collection using indirect techniques such as documentation techniques, observation techniques and test techniques. Data collection tools use tools such as planning sheets and planning observation sheets. Data source was obtained from Indonesian teacher, Suprapti, M.Pd and grade 5 students of SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. Based on the results of research that has been done, researchers suggest teachers should pay attention to interesting learning process so as to improve students' activities in learning activities.
