UPAYA MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CUPs PADA MATERI REDOKS
Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi redoks siswa kelas XB SMA Negeri 4 Sungai Raya menggunakan model pembelajaran CUPs (Conceptual Understanding Procedures). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sebanyak dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan teknik pengukuran hasil belajar, observasi, dan wawancara. Indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini dari pra tindakan sampai dilakukannya siklus I dan siklus II yaitu meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa masing-masing sebesar ≥50%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase peningkatan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 38,75% dan pada siklus II 53%, sedangkan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 55,56% dan 77,78% pada siklus II. Penggunaan model pembelajaran CUPs (Conceptual Understanding Procedures) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran kimia khususnya reaksi redoks.

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to improve the activity and student learning outcomes in redox materials on grade XB SMAN 4 Sungai Raya using model CUPs (Conceptual Understanding Procedures). This research is a classroom action research (CAR) as much as two cycles. Data collection techniques using a measurement technique of learning outcomes, observation, and interviews. Indicators of success of this study of pre-action to do the first cycle and the second cycle is an increase in activity and learning outcomes of students in each of ≥50%. The results showed that the percentage increase in the activity of students in the first cycle of 38.75% and the second cycle 53%, while the percentage of completeness student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 55.56% and 77.78% in the second cycle. The use of learning models Cups (Conceptual Understanding Procedures) may enhance the activity and student learning outcomes in chemisrtry learning like redox reaction.
