UPAYA MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL TALKING STICK PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI SMP
Abstract
Abstract : The research methodology was observing the class. There were four things that the teacher should do in the observation. They were palnning, doing, observing and reflecting. These were done to improve student learning activity in the class. The action research was done by collaborating teaching with the researcher and the subject teacher using two cycles. The research findings showed that in there was improvement in learning. Tis can be seen from the result of findings. There was about 74,99% in first cycle, and 90,62% in the second. The improvement of student activity can be seen in the first cycle that there were nine student with very active with 59,37%, 15,62% active student, 12,5% active enough, an 12,5% not active student. In the second cycle, there were 11 student with 68,75% very active student, 21,87% categorized as not active, 6,25% active enough, and 0% with not active student. It is hoped that the improvement of student learning activity using Talking Stick Model may give alternative strategy to increase students understanding and students ability in social science subject.

Abstrak : Hasil analisis guru melakukan observasi saat pembelajaran berlangsung yang terdiri dari empat kegiatan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi, untuk meningkatkan mutu atau kualitas aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas. Pelaksanaan tindakan kelas yang dilakukan sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang di tuangkan dalam pembelajaran melalui kolaborasi dengan guru mata pelajaran IPS yang dilaksanakan melalui dua siklus pada siklus I dan siklus II. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil rekapitulasi aktivitas pada siklus I sebesar 74,00% dan siklus II 90,625% perkembangan pada siklus I terdapat 9 orang siswa 59,37% yang sangat aktif, 15,62 siswa yang aktif, 12,5% siswa yang cukup aktif, dan 12,5 siswa yang tidak aktif. Pada siklus II terdapat 11 orang siswa 68,75% siswa sangat aktif, 21,875 siswa yang aktif, 6,25% siswa yang cukup aktif, serta 0% siswa yang tidak aktif. Keberhasilan meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran talking stick diharapkan dapat memberikan suatu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dengan memahami materi pembelajaran.
