KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI DAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BERBANTUAN LEMBAR KERJA SISWA BERBASIS TEORI BRUNER

Abstract


Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan representasi siswa, aktivitas siswa, serta respon siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran berbantuan LKS berbasis Teori Bruner. Penelitian dilakukan pada 33 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Semitau Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian adalah One Group Pretest-Postest. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan peningkatan yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest, yakni komunikasi matematis (pretest: 47,3%; posttest: 67,87%) dan representasi matematis (pretest: 50,9%;posttest:67,39%). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis Teori Bruner pada materi Faktorisasi Ekspresi Aljabar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan representasi matematis siswa. Aktivitas siswa pada saat pembelajaran tergolong tinggi terutama pada saat tahapan enaktif dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbantuan LKS berbasis Teori Bruner tergolong tinggi.

Abstract: This study aims to determine differences in improvement of communication capabilities and representation of students, student activities and student responses before and after assisted learning theory based LKS Bruner. The study was conducted on 33 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Semitau Kapuas Hulu in West Kalimantan. The method used was experimental research design is one group pretest-Posttest. The results of data analysis showed that the difference in a significant improvement between pretest and posttest, namely mathematical communication (pretest: 47.3%; posttest: 67.87%) and the mathematical representation (pretest: 50.9%; posttest: 67.39% ). This suggests that learning to use the worksheets based on the material theory Bruner Expression Algebra factorization can improve communication skills and mathematical representation of students. Activity of students during the learning is high, especially at the stage of enaktif and students' response to LKS-based assisted learning theory Bruner is high.
