PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMAHAMI BACAAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE KWL PADA SISWA KELAS XI IPS

Abstract


Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil pembelajaran peningkatan keterampilan memahami bacaan menggunakan metode KWL (Know-Want to know-Learned) pada siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas XI IPS 1 sebanyak 44 orang. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa pada pretest 65,00%. Hasil memahami bacaan menggunakan metode KWL pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata 70,11%. Sedangkan, pada siklus II memperoleh nilai rata-rata 78,40%. Berdasarkan data hasil memahami bacaan dari siklus I kesiklus II juga mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract: This research aims to describe the process and learning outcomes increase reading comprehension skills using KWL (Know-Want to know-Learned) method in class XI IPS 1 High School of St. Francis of Assisi Pontianak. This is a source of research data subjects Indonesian teachers and students of class XI IPS 1 as many as 44 people. The results of data analysis showed that the average value of student learning outcomes in pretest 65.00%. The results of reading comprehension using KWL method in the first cycle increased with an average value of 70.11%. Whereas, in the second cycle obtain an average value of 78.40%. Based on outcome data to understand the reading of the first cycle kesiklus II also increased.
