PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATERI LARUTAN PENYANGGA MENGGUNAKAN TWO-TIER MULTIPLE CHOICE DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUMENT DI SMA

Abstract


Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman dan tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi larutan penyangga kelas XI SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan subyek penelitian kelas XI IPA 2 sebanyak 32 siswa. Instrument penelitian adalah Two-Tier Multiple Choice Diagnostic Instrument dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman siswa pada konsep larutan penyangga adalah: 1)pengertian larutan penyangga pada pemahaman utuh (PU) (31,25%) dan tidak paham (TP) termasuk kategori rendah (28,13%), pemahaman parsial dengan miskonsepsi (PPDM) kategori cukup (56,25%), 2)perhitungan pH dalam pembuatan larutan penyangga PU (29,69%) dan TP kategori rendah (37,45%), PPDM kategori cukup (47,66%) 3)perhitungan pH larutan penyangga dengan penambahan sedikit asam atau basa PU kategori sangat rendah (2,74%) dan TP kategori rendah (36,13%), PPDM kategori tinggi (61,09%), 4)fungsi larutan penyangga dalam kehidupan sehari-hari PU kategori sangat rendah (7,82%), PPDM (46,87%) dan TP kategori cukup (45,31%). Tingkat pemahaman siswa pada materi larutan penyangga termasuk katergori rendah.

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the understanding and level of understanding of the concept of students at grade material buffer solution XI Kemala Bhayangkari 1. This study uses descriptive method with research subjects in class XI IPA 2 as many as 32 students. Is a research instrument Two-Tier Multiple Choice Instrument Diagnostic and interviews. The results show the level of understanding of students on the concept of buffer solution are: 1) understanding the complete understanding of the buffer solution (CU) (31.25%) and does not understand (NU) including low category (28.13%), a partial understanding of the misconceptions (PUM) category enough (56.25%), 2) the calculation of buffer solution pH in the manufacture of CU (29.69%) and NU low category (37.45%), PUM enough category (47.66%) 3) calculation of pH buffer solution with the addition of a little acid or base CU category is very low (2.74%) and NU low category (36.13%), PUM high category (61.09%), 4) function of the buffer solution in everyday life CU category is very low (7.82%), PUM (46.87%) and enough NU category (45.31%).
