HUBUNGAN KEPEMIMPINAN DAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL KEPALA SEKOLAH DENGAN MUTU LAYANAN PENDIDIKAN SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA
Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kepemimpinan dan kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah dengan mutu layanan pendidikan di SMP Negeri wilayah perbatasan Kecamatan Entikong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional . Data diperoleh dari 42 orang sampel guru di SMP Negeri Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi ganda. Hasil analisis korelasi tunggal dan regresi ganda menunjukkan bahwa; (1) terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan mutu layanan pendidikan, (2) terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah dengan mutu layanan. Hasil analisis korelasi ganda menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan dan kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah secara bersama berkorelasi positif dan signifikan dengan mutu layanan.

Abstract: This study aims to examine the relationship between leadership and emotional intelligence of principals with quality education services in the area of the border district of State Junior High School Entikong. This research uses a quantitative approach to techniques correlation. Data obtained from 42 people a sample of teachers in Junior High School the country data collection is done with the question form and analyzed using the multiple regression techniques. Results of the analysis of the correlation of single and multiple regression showed that; (1) there is a positive and significant correlation leadership principals with quality education services, (2) there is a positive and significant correlation between emotional intelligence principal with a quality service. Multiple correlation analysis results showed that leadership and emotional intelligence of the principal jointly correlated positively and significantly with the quality of service.
