KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI SEGITIGA DI KELAS VIII SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA
Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran induktif dan deduktif siswa pada materi segitiga dikelas VIII SMP Islamiyah Pontianak berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 21 siswa kelas VIII A, 4 siswa tingkat atas, 15 siswa tingkat menengah dan 2 siswa tingkat bawah. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan kemampuan penalaran induktif untuk tingkat atas (25%) masuk kategori baik, (50%) masuk kategori cukup dan (25%) masuk kategori sangat kurang, tingkat menengah (13,33%) masuk kategori baik, (26,67%) masuk kategori cukup dan (60%) masuk kategori kurang-sangat kurang dan siswa tingkat bawah (50%) masuk kategori cukup dan (50%) masuk kategori sangat kurang. Untuk kemampuan penalaran deduktif siswa tingkat atas (25%) masuk kategori baik, (25%) masuk kategori cukup dan (50%) masuk kategori kurang-sangat kurang, tingkat menengah (13,33%) masuk kategori cukup dan (86,67%) masuk kategori kurang-sangat kurang dan siswa tingkat bawah (100%) masuk kategori kurang-sangat kurang.

Abstract: The research aimed to know the ability of inductive and deductive reasoning in triangle material on students of senior high school Islamiyah Pontianak on Grade VIII based on their ability. The research used descriptive methodology. The participants of the the research were 21 students of Grade VIII A, 4 students consisting 4 students in high level, 15 students in medium and 2 students in lower level. The research findings showed that the ability to reason inductively for high level (25%) was good, (50%) was average, and (25%) was poor. In medium level the ability to reason inductively (13,33%) was good, (26,67%) was average, and (60%) was poor-very poor. In lower level (50%) was average and (50%) was very poor. The ability to reason deductively, the high level students (25%) was good, (25%) was average, and (50%) was poor-very poor. In medium level (13,33%) was average, (86,67%) was poor-very poor and in lower level (100%) was poor-very poor.
