Pengetahuan Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Terkait Pemanfaatan Perplexity AI dalam Membantu Pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pemanfaatan Perplexity AI dalam membantu proses pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif-deksriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa tanggapan terkait penggunaan Perplexity AI dalam membantu proses pembelajaran yang diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur kepada 10 responden responden penelitian yakni mahasiswa S-1,  Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia, FKIP, Universitas Tanjungpura, semester 4, angkatan 2022 yang telah dan masih menggunakan Perplexity AI dalam proses pembelajaran. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data tematik untuk menemukan beberapa tema persepsi terhadap penggunaan Perplexity AI. Hasil penelitian menemukan beberapa tema persepsi yaitu persepsi kegunaan, kemudahan, dan niat perilaku. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Perplexity AI mempunyai pengaruh besar dalam proses pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi. Temuan pada penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam konteks keguaan Perplexity merupakan AI berbasis Chat bot yang dapat membantu proses pembelajaran karena sifatnya yang mampu mencari informasi yang cepat dan akurat. Perplexity AI juga dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam menavigasi database dan mencari informasi secara efisien.
