a. Manuscript Submission
- Authors submit their manuscripts to JPN.
- An acknowledgment email confirms receipt of the submission.
b. Initial Screening
- The Section Editor checks the manuscript for adherence to journal guidelines, including formatting and a plagiarism check using Turnitin (maximum similarity index of 25%).
- The manuscript is evaluated for relevance, quality, and alignment with the journal's scope.
- Non-compliant manuscripts may be rejected or returned to the author for revision.
c. Reviewer Invitation
- Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
- Reviewers are invited and, upon acceptance, provided with the manuscript for evaluation.
d. Peer Review and Recommendations
- Reviewers assess the manuscript and provide constructive feedback.
- Recommendations may include:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
e. Handling Reviewer Feedback
- If revisions are suggested, authors are notified and asked to submit a revised manuscript.
- In cases of conflicting reviewer recommendations, a third reviewer may be consulted.
f. Editorial Decision
- The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Section Editor, makes an initial decision based on reviewer feedback:
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted as is.
- Minor/Major Revision: The author is requested to revise the manuscript.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication.
g. Revision and Final Decision
- Authors submit the revised manuscript, which may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers.
