PENGGUNAAN CAMPURAN COCOPEAT DAN PUPUK KANDANG UNTUK PENANAMAN GAHARU (Aquilaria spp) PADA TANAH ULTISOL DI DESA PAK LAHENG KECAMATAN TOHO

Abstract

Agarwood planting in Pak Laheng village is done on ultisol soil which is known to be poor nutrient, so it needs to be given fertilizer and one of them is Cocopeat and manure. the aim is to know the effect of cocopeat and manure mixture on the growth of agarwood on ultisol soil and determine the dosage of cocopeat and manure mixture suitable for the growth of agarwood plant on ultisol. The research was conducted in exprimental field in pak laheng village until  12 weeks. The research method used completely randomized design (RAL) with treatment : without fertilizer (A₀), 25 g cocopeat and 50 g manure (A₁), 50 cocopeat and 50 manure (A₂), 50 cocopeat 25 and manure (A₃) where each treatment was repeated six replications. The data collected and analyzed were the increments of height (cm), diameter (mm), and the number of leaf (strands). Result of research indicate that giving cocopeat and manure have a very real effect to the growth of gaharu plant until the age of 12 weeks. Fertilizer dosage of  25 g cocopeat and 75 manure are the best to accelerate agarwood plant growth on ultisol.
