ASOSIASI DAN POLA DISTRIBUSI TENGKAWANG (Shorea spp) PADA HUTAN TEMBAWANG DESA NANGA YEN KECAMATAN HULU GURUNG KABUPATEN KAPUAS HULU

Abstract


This study aimsed to examine the association of Tengkawang (Shorea spp) with other species that dominate in Tembawang forest and examine the pattern of distribution / spread of Tengkawang in Tembawang forest of Nanga Yen Village, Hulu Gurung District, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan Province. Observations were made on five transects lines with lengths of 20 x 500 m respectively. The research found 65 species of tree and found three types of Tengkawang i.e. Shorea stenoptera, Shorea marcophylla, and Shorea mecistopteryx. The dominance trees were Durio zibethinus,  Dipterocarpus sp, Litsea firma, Dilleniaindica, and Eugenia spp with index important value (INP) ≥  15%. The tree which often encountered simultaneously in tembawang forest of Nanga Yen village were Shorea stenoptera with Durio zibethinus, Dipterocarpus sp, and Dilleniaindica; and between Shorea marcophylla with Dipterocarpus sp; with high association criteria on value 0.74. ~ 0.49. The distribution pattern of Tengkawang (Shorea spp) were uniformly spread on class of pole, sapling and seedling with I value was I <1. Meanwhile for the class of tree, the distribution pattern of Tengkawang (Shorea spp) were spread in groups with I value was I >1.
