EVALUASI KARAKTERISTIK PENGGUNAAN OBAT DI RUMAH SAKIT JIWA DAERAH SUNGAI BANGKONG PONTIANAK
Abstract
Schizophrenia is a mental illness that can reduce the quality of human life. The main therapy in schizophrenia patients is generally given antidepressants and antipsychotics to manage the symptoms that arise, as well as improve the functionality and quality of life of the patient. This study aims to evaluate the characteristics of the use of antidepressant drugs at RSJD Sungai Bangkong, Pontianak. The research method is descriptive and data collection is retrospective. The object of the study used medical record data in January-December 2020. The research subjects were patients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia. The results showed that 51.85% were male and 48.15% were female; age 26-45 had the greatest number of schizophrenia as much as 70.37%; paranoid schizophrenia type by 85.19% and residual schizophrenia type by 14.81%; and the most widely used antidepressant was the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) group as much as 70.37%. Most schizophrenic patients are male with an age range of 26-45 years who have the characteristics of paranoid schizophrenia. Keywords: antidepressants, characteristics, hospital, schizophrenia
