PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DAN KETIMPANGAN ANTAR KECAMATAN (STUDI KASUS KABUPATEN SAMBAS, KALIMANTAN BARAT)

Abstract

The title of this research  is “Economic Growth and disparity among district (case study in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan). This research aims to know amount of income disparities in Sambas Regency. The research uses the secondary data, then it was analyzed by Williamson Index, Entropi Theil Index and Pearson Correlation.

Based on the analysis of Williamson Index and Entropi Theil Index in Sambas Regency, the results is decreasing from 2006 period until 2012. The average of Williamson Index is 0,087, while Entropi Theil is 1,33. The highest index in regency is in Pemangkat city, that is 0,352 (based on Williamson Index) and 2,80 (based on Entropi Theil Index). Kuznets hypotesis showed the relation of economic growth and disparity is formed turned U in Sambas Regency.
