KONDISI MASYARAKAT MISKIN DI KABUPATEN SEKADAU (Se-Kecamatan Sekadau)

Abstract

The research entitled “Condition Of poor People In Sekadau
Regency (A Case Study In Sekadau Sub-Districts) aimed to find out
condition of characteristic social economy of poor people in Sekadau
regency and to know local government’s effort to decrease proverty in
Sekadau regency.
The research methodology was interview and questioners the
data, primary and secondary, was gathered from interviewing
respondents from staff of government office and local public figures by
giving them questioners and from available data in government
institutions. The data was analyzed by purposive sampling.
The research finding showed that the poor people in Sekadau
regency were productive and have been working, by the salary was
small and was enough to fulfill their daily needs. In addition, they had
very low human resources such as low education, low skill, and low in
health. The local government has tried to decrease the proverty by
providing some programs but they were not optimal and were
temporary especially in remote areas of Sekadau regency.
