ANALISIS PENGARUH MODAL KERJA, UKURAN PERUSAHAAN (TOTAL ASSET), DAN STRUKTUR MODAL TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR SUBSEKTOR PLASTIK DAN KEMASAN (TAHUN 2003-2012)

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of working capital firm size (total assets), and the capital structure of the company's profitability in the plastics and packaging sub-sectors listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Which provides in this research is the independent variable working capital represented by inventory turnover, size of company visits of total assets, capital structure represented by Debt to Equity Ratio and the dependent variable is profitability (ROI).

The population in this research was 11 sub-sector Plastics and Packaging companies listed on the Stock Exchange. After passing through purposive sampling stage, the amount of samples into four companies with sample data form of financial statements consisting of Inventory Turnover, Total Assets and Debt to Equity Ratio. The analysis technique used is multiple regression and hypothesis testing using T-statistics to test the partial regression coefficients and F-statistics to test the effect together with a level of significance of 5%.

Partially, the results showed that the working capital (inventory turnover) provide a significant positive effect, while the capital structure (debt to equity ratio) provide a significant negative impact on the profitability (ROI). And for the Dimensions the company does not have a significant influence on the profitability (ROI). Collectively or Simultaneous have a significant influence on the profitability (ROI).
