Focus and Scope
Agro Khatulistiwa is scientific journal focused on sustainable agriculture. Referring to its name
AGRO KHATULISTIWA (AGRO is Agriculture, KHATULISTIWA or Bumi Khatulistiwa is name of West borneo). AGRO KHATULISTIWA contains articles directly sourced from the results of research in plant sciences focusing on agronomy; plants technology, environmental control of plants, horticulture, plant breeding, soil sciences, plant protection.

Peer Review Process
The articles submitted to AGRO KHATULISTIWA: JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURE ON TROPICAL LAND will be processed through a formatting review by the editor and independently reviewed by two peer reviewers. The review process applies Double Blind method. Decisions from reviewers are a top priority for editors to make decisions. The time required by reviewers to complete a round review process is three weeks. Generally, prospective reviewers will be selected based on their reputation in the suitability of their expertise. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based on their reports/recommendation. After being reviewed, there will be four kinds of editor decision based on reviewers’ recommendation:
> Accept Submission: The submission will be accepted without revisions.
> Revisions Required: The submission will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
> Resubmit for Review: The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. It will require a second round of review, however.
> Decline Submission: The submission will not be published in the journal
Publication Frequency
AGRO KHATULISTIWA: JOURNAL OF AGRICUTRE ON TROPICAL LAND publishes two issues in a year March and September
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Plagiarism
Authors should submit only original work that is not plagiarized and not has been published or being considered elsewhere. Turnitin or other software will be used by the editorial team to check for similarities between a submitted manuscript with existing literature.
All work in the manuscript should be free of any plagiarism, falsification, fabrications, or omission of significant material. Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Editorial Board will ensure that every published article will not exceed the 30% similarity Score. Plagiarism screening will be conducted by Jurnal Pustaka Ilmiah Editorial Board using Turnitin
Publication Ethics
AGRO KHATULISTIWA: JOOURNAL OF TROPICAL LAND (ISSN 00000-0000[Online] & ISSN 0000-0000[Print]) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Department of Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture University of Tanjungpura. This statement clarifies the ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer and the publisher. This statement is based on Elsevier Policies and COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Retraction
The papers published in AGRO KHATULISTIWA: JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURE ON TROPICAL LAND will be considered to retract in the publication if:
They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of major error (eg, miscalculation or experimental error), or as a result of fabrication (eg, of data) or falsification (eg, image manipulation)
It constitutes plagiarism
The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper attribution to previous sources or disclosure to the editor, permission to republish, or justification (ie, cases of redundant publication)
It contains material or data without authorisation for use
Copyright has been infringed or there is some other serious legal issue (eg, libel, privacy)
It reports unethical research
It has been published solely on the basis of a compromised or manipulated peer review process
The author(s) failed to disclose a major competing interest (a.k.a. conflict of interest) that, in the view of the editor, would have unduly affected interpretations of the work or recommendations by editors and peer reviewers.
