Focus and Scope
Aims
JMI (JURNAL MUAMALAT INDONESIA) is an scientific journal which is published two times annually by Prodi Ekonomi Islam (PRODI EKIS), Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Tanjungpura (UNTAN) Pontianak, Indonesia. JMI is a type of scientific journal (e-journal), published 2 times a year. JMI aims to provide access to high-quality papers and a continual platform for sharing studies of students, academicians, researchers, and practitioners; disseminate knowledge and research in various fields of Islamic economics, Monetary and Finance.
JMI is focused on:
Islamic economics, monetary, and finance.
Economic Development in Islam
Islamic managerial Economics
Sharia Accountancy
Social and Cultural context to Islamic economic and business.
Section Policies : JMI facilitates publication of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
JMI divides into two groups of paper publication:
original article (approx. 4000 words),
short paper (approx. 2000 words)

Peer Review Process
Articles published in JMI are peer-review and all manuscripts submitted follows the following procedures:
Articles submitted to JMI are evaluated first by the Editorial Board. The editorial board will evaluate whether the article has met the basic criteria and is within the scope of JMI. Manuscripts that fall outside the purpose and scope of the journal will be rejected or may be subject to revision at this starting point.
Articles that pass the evaluation by the Editorial Board will be sent by reviewers using double-blind reviewing, in which the identities of the author and the referee are both hidden.
The referee asked to evaluate the authenticity of the manuscript, themes, design and research data, analysis, critical quality, clarity of conclusions, quality of communication, academic contributions. The results of the referee's evaluation can be in the form of acceptance with minor or major revisions. The referee may reject the manuscript either with or without explanation.
Authors can consider the referee's suggestions and make revisions within a maximum of six weeks. The referee may request more than one manuscript revision.
The received manuscript is then checked for plagiarism by the editorial assistant of JMI. If the entire process has met the requirements, the editor will receive a letter of acceptance from the Editor in Chief.
Open Access Policy
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
