Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Any papers that do not meet the Author Guidelines, and do not use Cerebellum template will be returned. Consider the following, so that the review and acceptance of papers for publication can be done quickly.

1. Cerebellum is published four times a year in Februari, Mei, Agustus, and November.
2. Paper was written in proper Indonesian language, which is the result of research in the field of Informatics/Computer Science area and its application.
3. The written paper must use the given paper template (Please download it as a template for sending the initial paper), written at least five (5) pages of A4 size, in the format of a word document (*. Doc or *. Doc).
4. The paper is written using the latest references, at least 15 primary references (journals), and 70-80% of references used are from the last five (5) years of research.
5. Structure of Paper.

  • Title(Proper Case): Title must be concise, effective and informative, describing research results, variables, and the relationship between these variables can be seen in the title. Article title should be at most 15 words.
  • Author Identity: Author's name without the title, affiliation, and e-mail.
  • Abstract: Written in 100-300 words concisely and factually, contains a brief description of the importance of research, research objectives, methodology, main results, and conclusions. Which contains the main ideas that can make the reader interested and interested to read it.
  • Keywords: consists of 2-6 words or phrases, separated by (,).
  • Introduction: Contains problems background, research reasons, problem formulation, objectives, and writing organization. The writing does not use subtitles (sub-headings).
  • Methodology: Contains related research studies that form the basis of research, researchers' steps in conducting research presented in a complete and systematic manner. If there is data that is processed and tested, which uses a particular method, then it must be explained starting from the sampling method to the analysis technique. In this section, a theoretical framework can be added as a theoretical basis, which is used in the methodology to produce findings as a result.
  • Result and Discussion:  Expressed in a clear and concise, containing the results of data/information, design/algorithm, testing and analysis related to the purpose of the study. The subtitles in the discussion adjusted to the needs of the discussion. Each table and figure presented must be given an explanation. The test results must be able to answer the objectives to be achieved.
  • Conclusion: Is the closing article, the answer to the research question, and not stated in the statistical sentence. Conclusions are written without numbers and are presented in paragraph form. The implications and limitations of the study are also presented in paragraph form. 
  • Acknowledgements: Contains gratitude to funding institutions, and or individuals who have assisted in conducting research and article writing.
  • Bibliography: Please consider using Mendeley for preparing a manuscript. Cerebellum using IEEE citation style that has already been provided in Mendeley tool to ensure the citation to be well-managed. Article without proper citation style will be archived (rejected). 

6. Paper templates can be downloaded on the Cerebellum Template on the right side of this web page.
7. Paper has not been published and or is being processed for publication in another journal. All papers will be processed in double-blind peer review.
8. Prior to the final decision, reviewed papers are screened using iThenticate and Grammarly to avoid plagiarism.
9. After the paper is declared accepted, the author must send Publication Statement to the Editor, and the author will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) so that the paper can be published.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is 1.2 pt-spaced; uses font sizes described in Author Guidelines; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
