Author Guidelines

1.ELKHA is published twice a year: April & October

2. The manuscript submitted to ELKHA must be in the field of Electrical Engineering area and its application in the following sub-topics: Automatic Control, Power and Energy Systems, Electronics, Informatics, Telecommunication, and Industrial Engineering.

3. The manuscript has not been published and or is being processed for publication in another journal. All articles will be peer-reviewed (double-blind).

4. The manuscript is written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

5. The manuscript is typed using MS WORD with a white background and paper size A4 (210 mm x 297 mm). The paper must be between 6 to 8 pages, where a paper less than 6 pages or more 8 pages will be returned for revision before it is sent for reviewing process.

6. The manuscript is submitted from the register site (author without ELKHA account) or simply log in to your author's ELKHA account (author with an ELKHA account).

7. To avoid inconsistent paper format, tt is highly recommended that the author use the current journal ELKHA template (MS Word file) and start to prepare the manuscript by editing the template file.

8. The manuscript based on IMRAD writing structure contains the following parts (it can be seen more detail in the MS Word ELKHA's article template)

  • Title: The title must be written in uppercase and lowercase letters. If it is possible, avoid unfamiliar symbol/notation and/or long formula in the title. The title is a maximum of two rows and maximum 24 words.
  • Abstract: Abstract must be written in English (start in Vol. 11 no. 2, 2019), either the paper contents are written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. The abstract must contain a summary of the paper including the key results and not contain unnecessary information. It must be between 200-250 words.
  • Keywords: maximum of  5 (five) words in English and/or Bahasa Indonesia (in case the terminology used is not available in English).
  • Introduction/Pendahuluan: should be effective, clear, and well organized. It introduces and put perspective about the state-the-art of the topic discussed in the paper, the problem statement, and the objective. It should present why was the study undertaken, what was the research question/problem statement, and what was the hypothesis and purpose/objective of the research.
  • Methodology/Metodologi: This section should describe the research design or the methodology related to the results and discussion that will be explained in the next section. The methodology should give explanation how the research activities /experiments have been done and make the readers understand how to reproduce the experiments and get the same outcome, so there is a higher possibility that other authors will cite your paper as their reference. The description of a new methodology should be complete and accurate. Authors should make sure to include proper references that published a method used in this paper.
  • Results and Discussion: This section presents the results to improve the understanding of the readers on how superiority of the proposed approach/method with measurable indicators. If a standard is considered, it should be explained in this section regarding the results.
  • Conclusion: This section the importance of the presented results in this paper and its validity based on the previous discussion. Authors are highly recommended to avoid unjustified and general claims. It presents the outcomes of the work by interpreting the results at a higher level than the discussion and how the objective stated in the Introduction has been reached.
  • Bibliography:  Please follow the citation/referencing style in ELKHA template. Please consider using Mendeley for preparing a manuscript for ELKHA using "IEEE" citation style that has already been provided in Mendeley tool to ensure the citation to be well-managed. Please refer to the guideline for using Mendeley.

9. The editorial board has the right to send the manuscript to the assigned reviewers (two reviewers will be assigned for assessing the paper, additional reviewer may be assigned once the previous two reviewers have split decision), and then return to the author for revision in accordance with the advice of the reviewers or to reject the manuscript.

9. Prior to the final decision, reviewed papers are screened using iThenticate and Grammarly to avoid plagiarism.

10. The fees charged for the process in the journal are organized as follows: (This journal charges the following author fees)

  • Article Submission : Free
  • Review Process : Free
  • Article Publication  : 350.000 IDR
  • Hardcopy / Printed version : 150.000 IDR

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
