PENERAPAN METODE PERCOBAAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN IPA KELAS V SDN O1 TELUK PAKEDAI
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, dimana selama ini siswa kurang minat, dorongan atau motivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran IPA. Metode belajar yang digunakan yaitu metode percobaan, sedangkan metode penelitiannya adalah metode deskriftif dan bentuk penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini terbagi dalam 2 siklus yang meliputi planning (rencana), action (tindakan), observation (pengamatan), dan reflecting (refleksi). Instrument penelitian yang digunakan yaitu RPP, lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa penggunaan metode percobaan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas/keaktifan siswa pada pembelajaran IPA khususnya dikelas V dimana pada siklus I tingkat keaktifan siswa hanya mencapai 40%, dan siklus II mencapai 80%. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode percobaan dapat diterapkan khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPA.
Abstract: This research background of some of the constraints faced by teachers in implementing the study, during which the students lack of interest, a motivation in participating in learning science. Learning method used is the method of the experiment, while the method of research is descriptive method and form of research is a class act. The study is divided into two cycles includes planning (plan), action (action), observation (observation), and reflecting (reflection). Research instrument used is a lesson plan, observation sheet teaching and learning activities. Based on the results of this research is that the use of experimental methods to increase the activity / active students in science learning where particular class V in the first cycle student activity levels only reached 40%, and the second cycle at 80%.
From the research that has been done can be concluded that the experimental method can be applied especially in science learning.
