Negative thinking is a person who thinks irrationally and always thinks right whatever he sees without having to seek information in advance to that person and people who think negatively always make their own decisions, without the help of people around. A common problem in this research is "How is the effort to alleviate the problem of students who think negatively at SMA Negeri 1 Kuala Mandor B?" The method used in this research is descriptive method. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the characteristics of students who think negatively experienced by the subjects of case I are quiet or do not talk much when in class, if asked only answer in modest. While the characteristics of students who think negatively experienced by the subjects of case II are quiet or not talkative when in class, do not want to take part in school activities unless required by the school. Suggestions in this study for subjects I and II are suggested to make alternative assistance given by researchers.
