PENGARUH KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK GURU TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 14 PONTIANAK

Abstract
This research aimed to know the effect of teacher’s pedagogical competence on students’ learning result in social study subject at SMP Negeri 14 Pontianak. This research method was quantitative. The research subjects were 84 of seventh grade students and used propability sampling. The teacher’s pedagogical competences data took by using questionnaires and interviews, while learning result data gained by using documentation study. The results indicated that the teacher's pedagogical competence was 74 % which in the high category, and student learning results was 56% in the sufficient category. The results of hypothesis test showed that there was a positive and significant effect between the teacher’s pedagogical competence and learning result with rcount (0.664) > rtable (0.215). Besides, the significance value (0,000) < significance level (0.05). The regression equation Y = 27.520 + 0.388X showed that the teacher's pedagogical competence increased by one, so the learning result increased by 0.388. The determinant value of R Square = 0.441 which showed that the contribution of the effect of teacher’s pedagogical competence to the students’ learning result in the medium category was 44.1% and the rest 55.9% was determined by other variables.
