KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL FUNGSI KUADRAT DIKAJI DARI METAKOGNISI SISWA SMA
Abstract
Abstract
This research aims to describe a student’s mathematical representation ability at Senior High School 3 Pontianak in X MIPA 6 from metacognition skills. The research used is descriptive. The sample of this study was 33 students. Students were given a matter of quadratic functions and were asked to complete using the metacognition skills stage : (1) Planning; (2) Monitoring; (3) Evaluation. From each stage, the students' mathematical representation ability will be examined and continued with interviews to confirm each answer in the metacognition skills stage. The results obtained that at the Planning stage, the average student can work on the problem using language representation in determining what is known and asked. At the monitoring stage, the average student can work on the problem using language representation in determining and writing the steps and arithmetic symbol representation in doing calculations and drawing representations in drawing graphics. In the Evaluation stage, the average student can work on problems using arithmetic symbol representations in testing workmanship and language representation in determining and writing conclusions.
