KREATIVITAS SISWA DALAM MENGEKSPLORASI GERAK TARI JEPIN LEMBUT MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSPRESI PADA SISWA KELAS X
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kompetensi dasar mata pelajaran seni tari untuk kelas X yaitu mengekspresikan diri melalui karya seni tari. Siswa dikenalkan dengan satu di antara tari tradisi Melayu Kalimantan Barat yakni tari Jepin Lembut. Dengan tari Jepin Lembut siswa bereksplorasi lalu menciptakan karya seni tari yang dipertunjukkan pada kegiatan ekspresi sehingga siswa dapat meningkatkan kreativitasnya. Penelitian ini berbentuk penelitian deskriptif yakni mendeskpripsikan proses pembelajaran dan hasil peningkatan kreativitas siswa dalam mengeksplorasi gerak tari Jepin Lembut melalui kegiatan ekspresi pada siswa kelas X SMK Ethika Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan (action research) dan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yakni (1) proses peningkatan kreativitas siswa dapat dilakukan dengan empat tindakan yakni siswa dapat mendeskripsikan pengertian seni tari, unsur-unsur seni tari, fungsi tari, jenis tari, dan tari Jepin Lembut serta mempraktikkan ragam gerak tari Jepin Lembut, siswa dapat mengekplorasi ragam gerak tari Jepin Lembut, siswa dapat menciptakan karya seni tari, dan siswa menampilkan karya seni tari yang sudah dikreasikan; dan (2) hasil peningkatan kreativitas siswa kelas X SMK Ethika dalam mengeksplor gerak tari Jepin Lembut ialah siswa berhasil menciptakan 2 tarian yaitu tari Bemaing dan tari Ke Ume.

Abstract: This research is conducted based on the basic competence of dance lesson for tenth grade students who express themselves through art of dance. Students are introduced to one of Malay, West Kalimantan traditional dances which is called Jepin Lembut. In Jepin Lembut dance, students explore and create the art of dance which was shown in the expressions activity to improve their creativity. This research is a descriptive study that describes learning process and the result of students' creativity improvement in exploring dance movement through expression in performing Jepin Lembut dance on tenth grade students of Ethika Vocational School Pontianak. This study uses action research and qualitative research approaches. The results are (1) the process of improving students' creativity can be done with four actions; students can describe the definition of dance, elements of dance, functions of dance, types of dance, and Jepin Lembut dance as well as practicing the variety of movement in Jepin Lembut dance, students can explore the variety of movement in Jepin Lembut dance, students can create art of dance, and students can perform the artwork that has been created, and (2) the results of tenth grade students creativity improvement in exploring Jepin Lembut dance; they have successfully created two dances that are called Bemaing Dance and Ke Ume Dance.
