ANALISIS PERAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP KEBIASAAN ANAK BERMAIN GAME ONLINE STUDI DI DESA TANJUNG BUGIS

The purpose of this study to determine the role of parents in monitoring the habits of children playing online games at Kampung Tanjung Bugis. The problem in this study is "How Does Parent Monitor Child's Role in Online Habits?". The problem formulation of this study is: 1) child habits monitor parents with online games? 2) factors that affect the habits of playing online games? 3) Impact arising from the habit of playing online games? This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive perspective. The informants in this study have been determined by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are observations, interviews, documentation, research subjects are parents and students with game habits. The result of the study is that parents are still monitoring children to play at home and outdoors. The factors that influence children in the game play habits are: 1) Communication is not maximal. 2) Under-supervision of daily activities of children. 3) Presence of saturation, pressure with daily routine 4) influence of playing environment. The effects of online game habits are: 1) positive effects, coaching co-operation, stress relief. 2) Negative, social, psychological, physical impact.
