Abstract


Abstract

The previous study was aimed to test the feasibility of documentary submaterial level of biodiversity grade X high school based on the results of inventory of ornamental fish sold in the District Pontianak City. The research used qualitative and quantitative research with descriptive method. The research samples used were ornamental fish in Aquarium Zone store and Fish Urip store. Sampling technique by purposive sampling was seen from the amount of diversity of ornamental fish sold from each store. Technique of collecting data were used in the research were observation, interview, and documentation continued with fish identification. From the inventory results obtained 8 orders, 8 families, 26 genera and 31 species of ornamental fish with the order and the most families were Cypriniformes and Cyprinidae. The results were recorded in the form of documentary film which was then tested its feasibility. Based on the validator assessment, the average value of total media validation was 3.45 and material validation was 3.65. This result shown that the documentary film was valid so it was worthy to be used as a medium of instruction on Submateri Level Biodiversity to X of High School.
