Abstract
Abstract
This research aim is to find out the effectiveness of using Immune System comic media on the learning outcomes of XIth grade students of SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. This research was conducted using quasi experimental method with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling technique. The research sample was divided into two groups; XI MIPA 2 as experiment group and XI MIPA 1 as control group. The average score of students learning outcomes taught using comic media is higher than control class students who were taught using power point media with scores of 15,17 and 13,51 respectively. The result obtained from the hypothesis testing using U Mann-Whitney is Zhitung ≤ Ztable (-2,09 ≤ -1,96) which means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In other words, it shows that there is a significant difference between the learning results of students taught using comic media and those who were not at the significance level of α = 5%. The size effect is valued 0,46 which classified as moderate. Besides, if it converted dinto a normal curve, then the learning by using comic media contributed 17,72% to student learning outcomes.
