DESKRIPSI KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA MATERI MINYAK BUMI KELAS XI MIA 3 SMAN 4 PONTIANAK

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the critical thinking skills of students in class XI MIA 3 SMAN 4 Pontianak on petroleum materials. The subjects for this research were students of class XI MIA 3 SMAN 4 Pontianak included 38 person. This is a qualitative descriptive research with study case method. The instrument to be use is an essay test that adaptived from Ennis critical thinking indicator and then interview. The research results indicate that as many as five indicators are in the skilled category with the percentage of skills for indicators to analyze arguments by finding explicit reasons of 61%, answer challenging questions by providing clear and logical arguments of 68%, create and determine the results of considerations based on the background facts of application and the principles of 61%, Decide an action by setting certain criteria of 72%, Make and consider the results of the decision based on the effect of 58%, while the indicator identifies the assumptions to construct arguments are in the category of highly skilled with a percentage of skills of 76%. Overall for all indicators of critical thinking skills of class XI students MIA 3 SMAN 4 Pontianak entered in the skilled category with a percentage of 66%.
