Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of the Picture and Picture model assisted Leaflet on student learning outcomes in the material of Virus in grade X of SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak. The study was a quasi experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used intact group with class XA as the experimental class and class XB as the control. The instrument is in the form of a multiple choice test with 20 items. The average learning outcomes of eksperimental class which was 14,94 while the average in control class was 13,13. The results of U Mann-Whitney test showed that Zcount (-3,65) < -Ztable(-1,96), meaning that there were significant differences between the learning outcomes of students taught using Picture and Picture model assisted Leaflet and conventional model. The effect size value obtained was 0,78 with a category of moderate and gave the effect of 28,32%.
