ANALISIS DANA ALOKASI UMUM, BELANJA MODAL, TINGKAT INVESTASI DAN TINGKAT PENGANGGURAN KABUPATEN/KOTA DI PROVINSI KALIMANTAN BARAT PERIODE 2009 - 2013

Abstract


Unemployment is a frequently faced problem in almost all countries, both developed and developing countries. In developed countries, unemployment is caused by the fluctuation of economic and business activities. Meanwhile in developing countries, it is usually caused by a lack of employment, high labor force, and shortage of invesment.

This research aimed to analyze the influence of the variables of General Allocation Funds, Capital Espenditures on the Rate of Investment, and General Allocation Funds, Capital Expenditure and Rate of Investment on the rate of unemployment in Regencies/ Ciries in west Kalimantan Province in the period from 2009 to 2013. The method used was a multiple linear regression analysis using the panel data that combined the time series and cross section data from 2009 to 2013 of 12 Regencies/cities in West Kalimantan Province as the data whice were processed in the multiple regression model with 60 observations.

The results of the multiple linear regression analysis indicated that the variables of General Allocation Funds had a positive an siginificant influence on the rate of investment; and Capital Expenditure had a negative and insignificant influence on the rate  of investment; Then, General Allocation Funds had a positive and significant influence on unemployment; Capital Expenditure had a negatif and insignificant influence on the rate of unemployment; and the rate of investments had a negative and insignificant influence on the rate of unemployment
